Preparing your horse for the next big event? Guard against equine ulcers with Merial UlcerGard ulcer prevention for horses. Competition-related stress - confinement, training, traveling and performance - can lead to stomach ulcers in your horse in just 5 days. UlcerGard is currently the only non-prescription, FDA-approved product intended for the prevention of gastric ulcers, or Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome (EGUS), in healthy horses for up to 28 days. A daily dose should be administered to horses during times of excessive stress, such as a change in routine, limited or no turnout, inconsistent meal schedules, confinement, traveling, training, racing, showing or competition.
